Koito Czech was founded in 2001 and began production in Žatec in September 2002. It is currently one of the biggest employers in the Ústí nad Labem Region and it's 100% owned by Koito Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Japan.

The company has been manufacturing automotive headlights for over 20 years and will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2026. Our top-quality headlights, which we deliver from Žatec to the whole of Europe, ensure safety.

The Koito Group manufactures lighting technology for cars, ships, aircraft and rail transport, including electronic components and bulbs. Koito is an innovative company with a number of achievements in its field, such as the first commercial application of LED technology in automotive headlights, the integration of low-beam and high-beam LEDs in one reflector, the introduction of plastic lenses for cars and many others. 

Our innovations also aim at energy saving and preserving the environment. We are a socially responsible company that also invests part of its profits in supporting the region.
